Encode’s DeFi Club Education Series
Vega alongside Aave and CoinMarketCap are sponsoring Encode's DeFi education series; a 5-week event packed series covering the basics of DeFi, how to build and how to get hired. This series is proving a fantastic educational resource and I highly recommend checking out the introduction event and the up and coming ones.
Vega at IFCA’21
The 25th annual Financial Cryptography and Data Security conference took place last week with a stellar line-up featuring two researchers from Vega. First, Witold gave a lightining talk on ‘Market Based Mechanisms for Incentivising Exchange Liquidity Provision’, based on the paper by the same title that he has co-authored with Tamlyn Rudolph, David Siska and Barney Mannerings. Second, we had consensus design researcher Dr. Klaus Kursawe present 'Taming MEV - Implementing a policy framework for transaction orders on blockchains', a continuum of his previous Wendy, the Good Little Fairness Widget, Grows Up.
Deconstructing_Vega
To dive deeper into the concepts that underpin Vega we're starting a new content series; Decnstructing_Vega. This will take shape as a series of live-Twitch-streamed events with the builders of Vega. It's kicking off this Friday with Dr. David Siska decoding and unraveling how margins work on Vega. If you want to tune in live and ask questions add this event to your calendar (the stream will of course live on after on the Vega Youtube).
Decentralised Derivatives Protocol Comparison Table
As the ecosystem blossoms and more projects enter the decentralised derivatives space; differentiating one from another can be a full time job. Luckily, Marcin Pawel has created a living project comparison table featuring Vega, Serum, Demex, Injective and DDX. A fantastic community resource. Thanks :)
