What you can do on the Vega Testnet
The Vega Testnet is a fantastic playground to trial, test and practice on a purpose-built blockchain optimised for derivatives. It is completely open and anyone can access it. There are a couple of different ways to do so; either download a local Vega Wallet and be in complete control of keys or create a Vega hosted wallet in Vega Console" - link There are constantly new features released and for a full overview of what's currently possible check out this blog and last night's Testnet Jam where Tamlyn demonstrated how to get set up and place your first trades using Vega Console.
Deconstructing_Vega
Deconstructing_Vega is an event series where the builders of Vega deconstruct tools, ideas and concepts related to Vega. The most recent one saw developer advocate Chris demonstrate how to deposit and withdraw assets from Ropsten to the Vega network using MetaMask. Tonight's edition has Danny interviewing Tamlyn about her experience as a derivatives trader and how this shapes her day contributing to the Vega project.
Providing Liquidity on the Vega Testnet
The latest feature release for the Vega protocol now means any participant with enough capital to stake and margin can become a liquidity provider for a market on the Vega Testnet, using the fully open liquidity protocol. Learn all about how it works, and how to do it, in the Vega Testnet documentation.
Credit Risk and Margins on Vega
Vega protocol is designed with the principle of being safe while allowing high leverage and netting of margin across markets. The approach to risk management can be described as a plug-in-like architecture, meaning it is easy to implement the risk model that is the most appropriate for a new market. To learn how Vega conducts frequent margin evaluation, atomic closeouts, insurance pools, loss socialisation and more dig into the Credits and Margins on Vega blog by Dr. David Siska.
