Vega are immensely proud to announce that all Options (1, 2, & 3) of the Vega Token Offering on Coinlist sold out (and fast too🌪)! After many sleepless nights of moderation, support, and guidance, the team are finally able to take the weekend off as we celebrate the distribution of Vega to the ever-growing community of participants.

The team are particularly happy that the Community Whitelisting process went so smoothly - allowing for a large proportion of Vega’s early supporters to join the wider community on the ride to Mainnet! 🎠

🔊Discord Event Series - Vega_Jam

Every day throughout this week, Vega ran an event on the #Vega-Stage in Discord! This series covered a number of different topics with the express aim of allowing the Vega Community Members to talk directly with the Vega Team. On Monday we spoke to Developer Advocate (Chris) on how Developers can get involved (with a teaser on the Vega Builders club that’ll be launching soon). On Tuesday Tamlyn covered Market Creation on the Fairground Testnet. Wednesday was all about how to give Feedback with User Advocate Candida. On Thursday, the team live-streamed the weekly Fairground_Jam and Friday covered Research with Witold and the Research Team!

These sessions allowed for the audience to ask questions in the #fairground-testnet channel or to join the team on stage to ask a question directly. Overall we had a lot of fun with these and plan on launching a follow-up series in the near future!

🦺Announcing Vega Builders Club

Vega Builders Club (VBC) heads to Vega Discord Stages on 7th June @7PM GMT+1!

VBC will be the place for developers to meet regularly, discuss building on Vega, have any questions answered and much more! Previously hinted at during Vega_Jam: Developers, Vega’s Developer Advocate (Chris) will be leading this new series and rewarding those that graciously give their time to create on the growing Vega Ecosystem.

👓Encode Hackathon

Over the weekend, the team judged the submissions from Encode’s 10-week Hack the System Hackathon. The Vega team were incredibly excited by the wealth of interesting submissions, from leaderboards to GUIs. Nevertheless, we had to pick the best of the best for the winning projects…
