Community Update #6
Private Testnet Invitations, Deconstructing Derivatives, and 'This Week in Crypto'
It’s the middle of August, summer is flying by, and Ethereum transaction fees are at a record high. Our team are preparing ourselves for the public Vega testnet launch, meanwhile, we continue to onboard our closest Community Members onto the testnet. With that all said, here is the news on Vega this week:
I am now happy to announce that Deconstructing Derivatives will be taking place on Friday 4th September 2020. For everyone that's recently hopped onto the DeFi craze but wants to dive a little further - this event is perfect for you. Expect hands-on workshops, AMAs, and panels dissecting the different protocols in the space. Our university friends over at London Blockchain Labs are co-hosting alongside Vega, and we’re excited to engage more deeply with the wider community. The event will be capped, so be sure to sign up!
We are finally ready to share what we've been building at Vega over the last few years. We’ll be hosting weekly sessions where we onboard community members to the testnet. Tamlyn will be hosting these every Thursday at 6pm and Fridays at 8am. Sign-up here!
I’ve been writing weekly updates on the crypto market, coupled with insights from this industry. With so much happening in one week (YAM🍠came and went in just 2 days), "This Week In Crypto" breaks it down in an easy and digestible way🍝🦐🌮.
If you have any burning questions or want to learn more, please feel free to hop into our Discord server or forums and we'll welcome you with open arms 🤗.
And that’s all from me today. Hope to see you at our testnet onboarding sessions :)
