1. Happy New Year - Vega 2023 š„
Gm, gm & happy new year Vega Community! š¦ If you thought 2021 was crazy, my oh my was 2022 an āinterestingā year for crypto! The industry lived through a large number of clearouts. Although this was very painful to watch unfold, and the whole market has been dragged down as a consequence, in the long run, it will prove to be a necessary process of creative disruption! The latest implosions in CeFi highlighted the importance of decentralised finance, open source code and self-custody ā these are all core principles at Vega. In 2022, much progress has been made in realising the goal of creating an entirely decentralised derivatives exchange that allows anyone, anywhere, to take part in the process of permissionless market creationā¦ The Vega Community has a lot to look forward to in 2023! š

This year Vega pushed hard to build robust infrastructure for a credible alternative to centralised markets. This effort saw great progress made in the solidity of the network, a great increase of awareness among the DeFi and blockchain community, a stunning amount of involvement from the developer community, and healthy activity that put our governance mechanisms to the test.

5. Jolly Games - Xmas Incentive Recap āļø
During the Xmas holidays, the Jolly Games took place on Fairground. Jolly Games offered users the possibility to take part in both a classic PNL trading game and an LP incentive. Given the festive period, fewer users participated and this was to be expected, but the team wanted to make sure that users could take a break from their families & earn rewards š¹ š
