1. Sims 3 & 4 - Market Makers & Validator Testnet Blog 🪐
TL;DR
Sims 1 and 2 successfully tested and improved the network and the protocol. To get caught up on what happened, you can read the Sim 1 and the Sim 2 wrap-up blogs
38,129 Vega tokens have been rewarded to the community and up to 103,500 VEGA is still up for grabs in the next two Sims. Check out the Mainnet Sims Total Leaderboard to keep track of the winners!
Some key improvements include: fixing a bug on the mark-to-market (MTM) by executing the closeout after the MTM calculation and developing a new tool, Vegatools `powrate`, which is being used to measure the rate at which users’ machines can process PoW instructions
Sims 3 and 4 are distinctly different from Sims 1 and 2 in two ways: first, they will run on the validator’s decentralised testnet. And two, real market makers will be participating to test out their strategies and help stress test the network

2. Mainnet Sim #2 - Wrap-up Blog 🌯
Mainnet Simulation two of four is complete! Mainnet Sim #2 succeeded in stress-testing the Vega network to its limits! Sim 2 allowed participants to trade on multiple markets: ETH/XUSDT and/or SOL/XUSDT, and exposed the community to cross-margin liquidations. In order to make the reward structure more interesting and incentivize active participation over the weekend, the Weekend PNL was slightly tweaked compared to Sim 1. It was calculated using the Median PNL of all three trading days: Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

It's great to see the latest updates on Mainnet Sim, Desktop Wallet, and the results of the EthDenver & Community Competition. The ongoing development and progress in the blockchain space are constantly pushing the boundaries of what's possible, and it's exciting to see these advancements being made. The Mainnet Sim updates are particularly noteworthy, as they provide an opportunity for developers to test their dApps in a simulated environment before deploying them on the live network. The Desktop Wallet also adds convenience and accessibility for users who prefer to manage their crypto assets on their own devices. Lastly, the results of the EthDenver & Community Competition showcase the creativity and innovation of the blockchain community, and I'm looking forward to seeing these projects come to fruition. Overall, these updates and developments contribute to the growth and maturation of the blockchain ecosystem, and I'm excited to see what the future holds.
