1. Mainnet Sims Final Round AMA - Summary 📡
Before we get into the AMA, take a bite of this week’s Vega Bytes to make sure you’re up to date with the most important protocol developments & news on Sim 4 🍔
On Monday 3rd of April, the Mainnet Sims AMA series on Twitter Spaces continues! The Vega Team will once again connect with the Community to chat about the Mainnet Simulations. The AMA will cover the following topics: Sim 3 wrap-up; the pause between Sim 3 and 4, the fully decentralised validator testnet, successful integrations of professional market makers testing their trading strategies on the network; AMA questions from the Community and much more! 🫡

2. Mainnet Sim #3 - Wrap-up Blog 🌮
The Mainnet Simulations are now 75% complete! Mainnet Simulation #3 successfully integrated professional market makers and took place on the decentralised validator testnet. Sim 3 saw a particularly high number of Sybil accounts, and those users were banned from participating and from earning rewards. The Sims have clear rules, users who have been found using Sybil accounts will not be rewarded, and they will not be allowed to participate in Sim 4. The goal is to create a fair and honest atmosphere for all of the participants who are taking part in good faith, and who are contributing to help improve the Vega network. To combat Sybil activity, there will be changes to how Sim 4 is structured.

Congrats to the top performers of Sim #3:
One final simulation is left to stress test the network to its limits, take part for a chance to earn a piece of the final VEGA rewards!
3. Governance on Vega - Blog 🤝
TL;DR
Six different proposal types are enabled on the Vega blockchain, ensuring governance on the network is driven by the community of VEGA token holders.
The network has been run by $VEGA token holders since the launch of restricted mainnet. They propose and vote on proposals — with some of these proposals being vital to enabling trading on the network.
Understanding the different types of governance and how they will be used during the launch of trading is critical.

4. Fairground Returns - Cross Gems III 🍭
New week, new incentive - this time we’re back in the Vega Fairground (we missed you old fren 🫣). This additional trading game is for users wanting to practice for the final Mainnet Simulation (SIM 4).
If you just can’t wait, why not polish your skills in Fairground? 🍭 → LINK ←
5. Local Meet Ups - Rome first, where’s next? 🍝
Vega will be running some casual meet-ups around the globe! The very first one was run by Edo (Perception & Community Team) at the Coinbar in the ancient city of Rome (I hear the next might be in Korea and run by the MLL Ambassadors 👀).
The purpose of these informal meet-ups is to — well, meet up with the Community, talk Vega, Mainnet Simulations and also Alpha Mainnet launch! As Sims 4 will start on the 4th of April this grassroots meet-up will be an in-person opportunity for people to ask questions directly and get supported with getting set up. 🚀
6. Overload Protection on Vega - Core Sprint Demo 🪖
Interested in learning how Vega proactively protects the network from spammers, DoS attacks and people trying to overload the network?
This video covers exactly that and is beneficial for both validators and users! Why? Validators learn what the best options to configure the network are & users learn what restrictions are in place that might slow down their ability to send orders. 🔩
7. Multilingual League - Senior Ambassadors 🎉
Sending a HUGE congratulations to Vega Community Members and now Senior MLL Ambassadors:
0xGomm (Korea Local Meetup organiser) 🇰🇷
AngelDelN111 (Mainnet Sim Winner) 🎠
KveightKveight1 (Russian Translation Lead) 🪆
It’s clear we’ve got a talented group here that will continue to spread the Vega mission of freeing the markets. Meanwhile, a number of new MLL applicants have just been accepted to join the gang (check your emails, perhaps you’re one of them)! 🎊 🎊 🎊
📡 The force lies with the validators, long live decentralisation 📡
