1. Network Update - New Futures Markets š
Milestone Achieved: $500+ Million in Total Trading Volume š“āā ļø Read on for a brief market update on the latest activity seen on the Vega network.
The market proposals for new BTC & ETH with a Dec 31st expiry have been approved via on-chain governance. These markets are now live on the Vega network:
The LINK proposal posted on the Governance dApp by the community is currently expected to pass, although there are still 5 days left to vote as you can see HERE A reminder for network participants: Markets with a Sept 30/9/2023 expiry are set to conclude and settle at 8am UTC on Saturday, 30th Sept:
Following discussions on the Vega forum, the proposer of the new Dec markets made on-chain adjustments to the risk parameters; you can view the new risk factors in the Vega console
**Note that the āinitialā max leverage is ~ 28x. The max leverage (before closeout) is 45x.
2. 14th Validator - Welcome GP ā¤ļøāš„

A new Consensus validator joined the Vega network, welcome @GPvalidator, the journey towards network decentralisation accelerates!

15+ superstar Ambassadors have been selected to join the newest intake. Thatās less than 10% of all who applied š„¹. In October, the Ambassadors will be given their roles and will have an intro call to meet the team and some of the long-term Senior Ambassadors on the team. All very exciting stuff, Iām sure youāll see them around in the community over the coming weeks š¦
