2. Barney on Eden Block - Genesis Story Podcast 🪐

In my latest talk with @barnabee from @vegaprotocol, Barney broke down his thoughts on Decentralization & necessary hierarchies. a great take on the infra needed to enable permissionless, open innovation.

Barney’s journey of educating the world about Vega’s mission continues! Many topics are covered in this episode of Eden Block’s Genesis Stories. Barney talks about his background in computer science/tech, experience in TradFi, as well as his personal journey in crypto, revealing more details on how Vega was founded.

3. ICYMI - Barney at Messari Mainnet 🍎

The big one for me is permissionless innovation… How quickly can you create a new market or a derivative or a new financial product? Right now outside of crypto it’s incredibly hard but with Protocols like Vega, you have the ability to use primitives that are already there, develop something from your bedroom, put it live, potentially raise money and collect liquidity globally, and have it available to the whole global marketplace. Deployed properly that has a lot of use cases outside of crypto…

Last month, some of the Vega team were in NYC for Messari Mainnet; Community Update #55 provided a Mainnet preview. Barney spoke on the ‘Waiting for Volume: When Will Crypto Derivatives Catch Up to TradFi?’ panel with @nycbrandonn, @hal2001, @0xSimonJones & moderated by @john_tv_locke — which you can now play back to delve deeper into the conversation! 📈

4. Community Call - November 2022 ☎️

On the first Tuesday of every month, 5pm GMT, tune in to the Community Twitch stream today to find out the latest goings on in the Community and with Vega at large

This month is special, we’ll be covering the next evolution of Vega+ known as the Multilingual League - an opportunity for current Ambassadors to use their linguistic prowess to share Vega with a wider audience!

5. Vega+ - Open Applications Season 👻

Quite some time has passed since the Vega+ Ambassador Program launched at EthDenver ⛰🦬🦄

In late March this year, Vega+ opened its doors to 20+ Apprentices who, since then, have climbed the community ranks and earned their respect amongst the wider Vega community. The objective of Vega+ remains the same: building the community from the ground up! Hundreds of applications have been received for the 3rd wave of Vega+ and we’re super excited to meet the newest Apprentices in late November…
